Two volumes of watercolour paintings of birds, on vellum, which were used to illustrate Albin's 'Natural History of Birds'. Both volumes contain a manuscript list of illustrations. Inside cover of both volumes contains a manuscript copy of the extract of the will of Alexander Mangin donating these volumes to Marsh's Library. Received by the then Librarian Mr. R. Cradock. Also note: No. 2809 of the Portland Museum. |
